Soil Abstract

This painting is from a series of abstracts, where I took all the different elements from the soil - organic matter, stones, grits, sands, clays and etherial dust and reassembled them as a painting, to reflect the diversity of elements within soil, and how they all come together to create a fertile environment for new life.  Crushed carbon is also added.
